Hi Harold,
This is certainly a longshot, however I saw your message & thought it may be worth a try.
I believe my G G Grandmother was a Roddy before she married my G G Grandfather, who was a Carney (probably Michael) - They lived in Lisacul on the border of Co Roscommon & Mayo & had children - Andrew, Bridget Mary (my G Grandmother - dob 1875 / dod 1961), Thomas, Jack (probably christened John or James)also I have just discovered that there was probably another brother, Owen - there may also have been others but I'm still trying to confirm this.
As, like many Irish Catholic families at the time names seemed to re-occur through each generation, I wondered if your Bridget or Catherine could be my missing GGGM as all the boys names seem to tie up with our family - have you any info about them at all ie who they married, where they lived etc that may help to prove or disprove a link
