Would appreciate your sending me information on the James Ryan family - all I have is the fact that there were 5 children as of 1809 who were the grandchildren of Daniel McComisky. I do not even know the name of James' wife who must be my Rosanna Roddy's aunt.

I wrote/published a book "Richard Green Waterhouse (1775-1827), Tennessee Pioneer" about the life & times of Richard's ancestors and descendants. I included the full transcript of an edited version of Richard's diary that covers the years 1794-1814. It includes his travels from 1794 when he left Hunterdon County, New Jersey and traveled south, arriving in Knox County, Tennessee around 1800, and on through his business ventures in Tennessee up to 1814. His diary has great information (very detailed about the people he met) including his travels to Kentucky to meet with James Ryan and then to Maryland to claim the inheritance. It also has a day by day description of his minor involvement in the War of 1812 as one of the Tennessee volunteers in the Florida campaign.

When I get a chance, I will collect all of the information that I have on the McComisky family and send it to you.
