Hello ,my name is Nicholas Roddam and my family originate from Northumberland,UK, where there is a small parish of the same name. This small parish was awarded to a Robert Roddam for bravery in battle in the 1500's or 1600's. So he became known as Robert Roddam of Roddam. Coincidently my family have strong ties with the name of Robert. It is my middle name, aswell as my grandfathers and great, great grandgathers.Good luck.
