Vivian Rockwood's recently published book has it that Nathaniel Rockwood(B. 1700)married Margaret(Phipps)Rockwood. They had in Wrentham Mass the following children
Nathaniel B. 16 Nov. 1728, Amos B. 9Aug 1730, Ebenezer B. 5Apr 1732 and Asa B. 5 Feb 1733/4 died young, after the move to Winchester NH they had Rhoda B. 19 Aug 1736 died young, Reuben B. 5 Sept 1737, Margaret B. 13 July 1739, another Rhoda B. 19 Aug 1740, Elizabeth B. 22 Oct 1742, another Asa B. 8 Apr 1745, Mary B. 30 sept 1747 and William B. 20 Oct 1749. About 1750 Winchester was abandoned because of Indian raids. Some of the family returned later. I have tried to find out where they took refuge. I also am interested William as I think he ended up in Newfoundland and may be my ggggrandfather.
