Thomas C. Rockwell of Indiana, born 1863
Posted by: Michael Rockwell (ID *****6722) Date: May 27, 2011 at 09:04:57
  of 1385

I just started a search for my ancestors. My great-grandfather was Thomas C. Rockwell, born in Indiana in 1863 and married Frances Wildman in Piatt, Ill. They lived out their lives in Danville, IL. I cannot find any information on his father. The 1910 Federal Census says his fater was from Scotland. I can find no record of him. There was, however, a Thomas C. Rockwell from IN who was married to a Catherine. He was a private in the Indiana 47th infantry. He was killed in action on Aug. 2, 1863 and is buried in the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetary in MO. Any information anyone can help provide would be greatly appreciated.
