William Rockliff (b.1775) and William Rockliff (b.1790) are two different persons. Both were soldiers in the British Army.William 1775 served at Waterloo.William 1790 served in India.William 1775 died an old pensioner in England.William 1790 died young, somewhere in the Indian Ocean. The question that interests me is whether these two William Rockliffs are related.Do any of the descendants of William 1775 know anything about his grandfather? His great-grandfather?His cousins?William 1790 might be a first cousin, or a second cousin, of William 1775.Since the descendants of William 1790 have hit a dead-end with William 1790, and since the descendants of the Hero of Waterloo seem to have a very ddetailed genealogy, the descendants of the less illustrious of the William Rockliffs would very much like to resolve whether the two are discoverably related or not.
