Hi devlin,

My surname is Rockett too and im also from Waterford. I know there was a mayor John Rockett in Waterford around the 12 hundreds and there is also an old castle which is known as Rockett's Castle in Portlaw which you can find reference to on the web. However the origin of the name and how it came to Ireland still seems to be a bit of a mystery. If you have any more info on the rocketts in Ireland I would love to hear about it!
