Charles,

In following your posts, you seem to have a GREAT knowledge on the Rockett family....so I am going to "go fishing" here and hope you have something that can help me in my search.

I have an elderly family member (cousin to my grandmother Clark) who I am doing a little research for. She does not know it yet, but I am trying to trace her family lineage and present it to her as a gift. She and I are related via the Nelson and Clark families of Hamilton County, IL that removed to Stoddard County, MO c1905.

Her line is Whitson H. Nelson of White County, IL who married Mary Wolf(e).

Mary Ann Wolf(e) was born 8 Jul 1860 Evansville IN and married Whitson Hammer Nelson 11 Sep 1884 in Enfield, White County, IL at the home of John WOLFE.

Mary Ann Wolf(e) b: 8 Jul 1860 Evansville IN is said to be the daughter of John Wolf(e) and Sophia Rockett. I have nothing to confirm this nor can I find a Sophia Rockett from Evansville, IN or White/Hamilton County, IL.

Does the name Sophia Rockeet or John Wolfe ring familiar to you?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Bravo to you for all your great work.

Tina
