Your welcome John.
Does anyone in the family have his naturalization certificate? Not much information on it except for the courthouse address. His naturalization petition for sure would have a precise place of birth. Even his manifest would have a place of birth.
The social security numbers came into in 1936 so the 1930 census would not have that information. You can print out a form letter from http://ssdi.rootsweb.com with his information on it.
