A question has been brought up as to why researcher's use the name John Charles Juzan when he signed legal documents as Charles Juzan. Given that Marie Henriette Rochon's father was Charles, it would make sense where the name came from. I realize their is no definitive proof Catherine Parant died in 1759, but given the source I saw on a post, it would seem highly likely that she did. It would also explain where the "indian" came from in his lineage, his mother would have been 1/4, and he an 1/8, looking like the white man Gaines claimed. My interest in the Juzan family stems from Charles Juzan's wife Marguerite "Peggy" who had a relationship with James Trahern and had my ancestor James N. Trahern. I have done alot of research on the Juzan's and believe I can finally track down the child of Pierre Juzan, son of Charles. Jennifer
