Jean,
In the 1881 cenus for Brunswick, Maine, i found a Manassa Rochon b. 1825 Canada, work in a cotton mill, m. to a Julia Rochon b. 1834 Canada, they had 8 children, one being Alfred b. 1870 Canada. 2 children b. after Alfred was b. in Maine. The time frame is right but the names are not right????
I also found a Andre Soucy m. to a Virginie Blanchette, one child a Georgina Soucy, she m. a Prudent Landry 3 Sept 1877 in Parent, NB.This was Prudent Landry second m. his first m. was to a Christie Sirois b. Sept. 1868 in Van Buren, Maine. I can take the Landry family back to the 1700's.
I will continue to look for your Rochon. If you need to get back with me do so at [email protected]
