Rochester families in Rochester NY circa 1855-1860

This is a long shot request. My great grandmother, Hannah Louise Tierkoff/Tirekoff came to the US from Prussia in 1854 (according to various censuses and family records). The family story is that she was a governess for the Rochester family in Rochester NY. She would have been 12 in 1854.

I have found her in the 1859 City directory listed as a domestic working for William Bishop, attorney. She became a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in 1860 and married my g grandfather in 1865. I am trying to fill in the missing years from 1854-1859.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
