Eulalie Rocheblave - New Orleans 1819
Eulalie Rocheblave & Bernard LaFosse were the sponsors for Eulalie Goy on April 4, 1819 in New Orleans, LA. According to the Sacramental Register of the Archdiocese of New Orleans, Eulalie Goy was the daughter of [Jeanne] Elisabeth Goe and was born March 17, 1818.
Another daughter of Elisabeth's, Martha Pauline Goe, was born on July 22, 1815 and baptized on July 3, 1816.
Elisabeth was a native of Port-au-Prince, St. Domingue and there appears to have been a large group of émigrés from Haiti who were living in New Orleans as fpoc and standing as sponsors for each other's children during the first years of the 19th century.
I am most interested in finding information on these families. Other names include:
Aubin/Oben/Oubeine/Robin, Ajaud, Audier, Bruger, Cabaville, Dunjon, Lafosse, Lecam, Leon,
Nantais, Norwood Rocheblave, Roup, Tasbon, Thiac/Theac & Touchet.
