Bill, I just found some more information today that better documents the relationships of the Leonard Roby family. This comes from Clark Co., IN., Will Records A, 1801-1817. Roby, Townley. Administrators, widow Rebecca and William Ellis, appointed 10 July 1812. Bond $600. Securities: Henry Bottorff, Abraham Epler. p.62. Roby, Leonard. Will dated 8 June 1815; probated 2 Aug 1815. Heirs: wife, Lucy Roby; children names not given except for daughter Betsey and son Henry. Executors: Henry Roby, John Miller. Witnesses: Henry BOT-TORFF, Abraham Epler, John Kelley. pp. 130-31. Appraisment of personal property and bill of sale. pp. 142-44. These two records help a lot in determining the death of Townley Roby and especially determining that Leonard Roby died in Clark Co., IN and that he is definitely the father of Henry. Henry Bottorff and Abraham Epler are both metioned in the two wills. I wonder what the connection is with these two men? It's also interesting that it gives Leonard's wife as Lucy and not Lena. I'm really not sure where the information came from that her name was Lena Tucker. Hope this helps. Trevis Notify Administrator about this message?
