I am searching for information on the husband of Sarah Roby who was born in 1871 to William and Sarah Roby. Sylvester Boothby and Sarah Roby would have been married sometime around 1890 as their son, Roby Randall Boothby was born in 1891 in Michigan. The family believes Sylvester left his wife early (divorced)and perhaps worked for the railroad before heading south. No data has been found on him as of yet.
Sarah's father, William, was born in England and his wife, Sarah, was born in Canada according to several census records. According to two different census records, Sylvester has been shown being born in Maine and Michigan. Sarah has been shown on several census records as widowed, divorced and head of household. Any leads would be greatly appreciated.
