Hi!
I am looking for info on Lettey Robey who maried Mitchel Moore sometime around 1850 in WNC. She was said to have been from Homney (Hominy?) in Buncombe County, but I have not located any Robey's in the census. They had a son named Lee Moore who maried Alice Darnell. Alice was the daughter of Green Darnell and Annie Clark.
Mitchel Moore, better known as (Beach) was born 1881 to Lee Moore and Alice Darnell Moore.
Would the name Lettey be a shortened form of ?.
