Edward (nicknamed Ned) Roby was born in Maryland in July 1861. He married his first wife before 1883 because he had a son Edwin F. Roby born in October 1883. His second wife was Mary C. FERGUSSON (born 1876) who was known as Daisy. They were married about 1894 and had four known children: Margaret Roby, born in May 1895; Douglas Fergusson Roby, born March 1898; Estelle Roby, and Adele Roby born June 1904. At some point Edward and Daisy divorced. As far as their children, Margaret married William CREVELING; Estelle married Arthur VENELL; Douglas married Ruth CLIPPERT and moved to Detroit, Michigan; and Adele married Gale PUGH and lived in Washington, D.C.
