Polly Roby, daughter of Elkanah Roby, married John Hefner, February 23, 1827. This is from family bible information. I have not found definite proof of this. I had supposed that the marriage took place in Lewis County Va/WVa. but ancestry.com doesn't show any record in Va. for them. All doucuments I have on the birthplace of Polly's son, Charles Wesley Hefner, show him as being born in Lewis County. And I don't know of his father living outside of Virginia (Pendleton & Lewis Counties), before he came to Illinois. Does anyone have the marriage place for Polly nailed down?
