Andrea, as you saw I reflected Robison also in my query. I did that because one of the people that I matched fairly closely is a ROBISON. His ealiest known ancestor was a Samuel ROBINSON (1822-1883) who moved to MO back in late 1830s. Somewhere along the line with one of his descendants the spelling changed to ROBISON. And from what I understand some those moved north to possibly Oklahoma and who knows where else. Also, I have an official directory listing all the US military units that were located in Germany as of Mar 3, 1947. There were about 5 or 6 military compounds within 10 miles of Mannheim but the closest military compound to Mannheim-Rheinau (moms labor camp just south of Mannheim) was Seckenheim which was just across the river/canal from Ilvesheim where we lived when I was born. Thanks again for your interst and help, it is truly appreciated.
