John Robinson and wife Jane Cannell : Douglas, Isle of Man, 1800s
Hi there, I just thought I'd post an update from my previous message:
I've resently found my connection to William ROBINSON b. 1814, Isle of Man.
Parents: John ROBINSON and Jane CANNELL, both of Isle of Man also.
William had brothers John and Henry who were architects in Isle of Man, William was a Printer and Publisher and owned a Newspaper. William married Helen/Ellen Cashen.
I'm a descendant of Wm and Ellen Cashen's son Alfred, born 1852, Little Bolton, Lancashire England.
I would love to make a connection to others related to this family, and sort out some things. (I've only just found these folks out!)
I was also amazed to find a photo of Wm Robinson on the following Isle of Man Website!

I've contacted the editor, and F.Coakley graciously replied to me and is looking to get me the contact information for the brother to Wm.
I have siblings to Alfred Robinson, also born in Bolton Lancashire.
Hope to make a connection!
