I have hit a wall in researching my family. I am looking for an Amable Robillard married to Rose LeCompte in the early 1800's in Quebec.
Their eldest son, Antoine Emile Robillard (b. circa 1836) would be my great-great grandfather. I believe Antoine had a brother named Pierre. On Antoine's marriage record, his parents are listed as Amable Robillard & Rose LeCompte of Les Cedres.
I know that their son, Antoine Emile, married Hermine Grenier Jan 7, 1861 in Sorel, Canada. Antoine Emile ended up owning a mercantile store in St. Ours. He later moved to Fall River, Mass. He had sons: Emile, Damien, Idola, Médéric, Louis, Amédée and Arthur. His daughter daughters: Alcia, Melida Hermine, Georgina Clerida. (Amédée was my great-grandfather.)
If you have any information on these people, or if you can point me in a certain direction, your help would be much appreciated.
