Mark,

Their daughter, Virginia Paulhus, was my great-grandmother on my father's side. She married Pierre Beaudreau in 1875 in Ste-Victoire de Sorel. Unfortunately, I have been unable, despite years of effort, to find their place and date of marriage. I have, however, been able, to find his parents (via their children's baptism records). She, however, remains a mystery. There are few Robillards in the Sorel area. Most were from the Lavaltrie/Lanoraie region (on the North shore of the St-Lawrence).

I strongly suspect, given what little I know about the Paulhus', that Denis and Josephte were married in New England, most probably in Massachusetts (Southbridge, Spencer).

I did locate a number of Josephte Robillards via parish records in the Lavaltrie/Lanoraie area, but was unable to make a positive identification.

Cheers!

Bernard Beaudreau
