James D Robie is a great grandfather of mine. He was born in Monmouth Me in 1841 and died in Superior, Wisconsin in 1892. He was a lieutenant in the 28th Maine during the Civil War. His Father was Henry Roby born 16 June 1790 and Died 11 April 1874.Henry was born in Epping N.H. moved to Monmouth Me in 1825. He was married to Mary Folsom and then Elizabeth Batchelder. Despite copious quantities of material written on the new england Robys/Robies.Robeys, I can not figure out who Henry's parents were. His son James (above)was a cousin to Governoe Frederick Robie of Maine. Can somebody help me with this?
