This is my Etienne Robicheaux line. I am only including my Robicheaux ancestors and not the lineage of their spouses.

Much of the information comes from these books as well.

ROBICHEAUX, Magdelene - native of Acadie, residing at Attakapas (dec. Rene & Marguerite MARTIN) m. 27 April 1773 Charles HEBERT - native of Acadie, he is residing at Attakapas (Belloni & Anne SAVOIE) Wits: BORDA, BERARD, DELAHOUSSAIE, Joseph HEBERT. Fr. IRENEE, Capucin priest of Pointe Coupee being at Attakapas where there was neither pastor nor priest. (SM Ch.: Folio A-1, p.28).

ROBICHEAUX, Magdeleine wid. of Jean Charles HEBERT Heirs: Dorothe wid. of Francois LAMBERT; Saulange m. Jean Baptiste GUIDRY; Moyse; Marguerite wid. of Charles BREAUX; Ursin; Marie m. Lufroy BOUDREAUX; Valmont HEBERT. Succ. dated 27 Jan. 1831 (Laf. Ct. Hse.: Succ. #212).

II. RENE ROBICHEAUX md. MARGUERITE MARTIN

ROBICHEAUX, Rene d. 1 Aug. 1765, bur. 2 Aug. 1765. Fr. Jean FRANCOIS (SM Ch.: v.1, p.9).

Rene Robicheaux and his family appear to have been prisoners of war at Fort Edward, Nova Scotia, around July 12, 1762. British records from Fort Edward, dated August 9, 1762, indicate that five members of his family were held as prisoners, but the family received only 3 1/3 rations. Listed among the Acadian prisoners of war at Halifax, August 16, 1763. Rene married Marguerite Martin.

He was one of the original Acadian settlers for the Attakapas District.

On p. 2581 (Louisiana), is he the same Rene' ROBICHAUX, born around 1735, probably originally from Cobequid, Acadia, who married around 1755 to Marguerite MARTIN; daughters born around 1756 and 1758?

Jean Robichaud dit Cadet, ploughman, native of l'Acadie, aged 59 years and a half, he has been in the country 14 months. Married to Marie Leger, native of l'Acadie, aged 53 years and a half.
They have seven children, five sons and two daughters:-

Joseph, aged 34 years.
Jean, aged 31 years.
René, aged 26 years.
Pierre, aged 22 years.
François, aged 18 years.
Marie Joseph, aged 16 years.
Anne, aged 13 years.

René Blanchard, orphan, native of l'Acadie, aged 5 years.

In live stock they have four oxen, nine cows, one heifer, four calves, one bull, one wether, two ewes, and five pigs.

The land upon which they are settled is situated on the north shore of Rivière de Bedecq. On it they have made a clearing where they can sow sixteen bushels of wheat.

IV. CHARLES ROBICHEAUX md. MARIE JEANNE THIBODEAUX

Estienne ROBICHAUT, told his wife that he did not want to give account of his cattle and his land.

ROBICHAUD
Cyprien Tanguay states in his Dictionnaire généalogique des familles canadiennes, that Louis *Robichau* died January 3, 1649 in Québec. according to Placide Gaudet, he would have been the father of Étienne Robichaud who was in Port-Royal, Acadia at the 1671 Census. Étienne was born about 1640. At about twenty-three years of age, he married Françoise Boudrot, daughter of magistrate Michel Boudrot and Michelle Aucoin, who gave him six children.
