My ancestor Marmaduke "Duke" Robertson was born in Warren County NC 1786. His death certificate listed his father as "Billie Robinson" and that's where I hit the wall. My only further clues are family rumor that we're related to General James and Colonel Charles somehow (but every Robertson thinks that!) and that, after he moved to Smith County Tennessee about 1820, Duke named his first two sons Nicholas and William, but they must still have had strong ties to NC because they both married Harrell sisters from Perquimans County NC. A lot of nonsense here, I know, but maybe there is a grain of something you can use or we can share to find out who we are really related to! Shauna Woodall Notify Administrator about this message?
