INA ROBBINS WHO DID THIS RESEACH! !!!!!
Why will no one make any comments on this Research on Ina Robbins of Wales. Where was he born? When did he marry?
Who was his proven father?
Where is the creditable documentation of Ina Robbins and his wife Mary McGrey and where are the Sources that can name his proven children.
From Records in Rowan Co NC Richard Robbins b/ 1710-1712
must be the father to Isaac, Michael, Jacob, William, James, Richard, Jr.
Here is some research of the Late John German and some of my research!
1751 Granville Co Tax list Richard, Isaac, Jacob-3appears to be sons of Richard
Isaac and Jacob at least 16 years old births 1735
Interesting, and undoubtedly controversial, are the test results of DNA samples from two descendants of Richard Robbins (b. c1710) of Rowan Co., NC. An unavoidable conclusion is that the providers of these samples share a common ancestor with tested descendants of Daniel Robins (b. c1627 Scotland - d. 1714 New Jersey). Richard Robbins witnessed the 1754 will of Joseph Robins Jr., a grandson of Daniel Robins. Hopefully, the genetic match with the New Jersey family will stimulate an interest in new research.
As I interpret this 1751 list, I see a Richard Robbins is paying taxes
for himself as well as for a Jacob Robbins and an Isaac Robbins. The
taxable age at that time started at age 16 thus burdening fathers with
additional taxes. Other names on this list appear in Rowan Co. court
records suggesting this party of Robbins is also in what became Rowan
(now Randolph) Co. Thus it seems we have evidence that Richard was the
father of Jacob and Isaac. The evidence in the 1751 tax list is similar
to the 1761 tax list of Rowan Co. used to support placing Michael
Robbins as a son of Richard Robbins. This is very contrary to the
recycled undocumented genealogies claiming Jacob was a son of Elisha
I have found evidence of Richard Robbins in Frederick Co., VA, where
Joseph Robins and his brother-in-law John Nation lived before moving to
NC. Other names in these records are also found in NC along with Richard
Robbins in the 1751 Dan River tax list.

William was a farmer in Stokes County, NC and died c. 1811/12 and his will is recorded in Stokes County. We have bible information pertaining to his family, plus that which was researched by Francine and Cletus Swaim. His father John had sold his original property in Rowan County and bought land in Surry and had held on to that land and went to live with William in Stokes County, based on research performed by Gayle McDonald. William is shown on the 1790 Census for Stokes County as follows:

William mentions his grandson "William Bennett" and gives no clues as to the name of his mother, who we would have to suspect was deceased for we have no record of a daughter who had married a Bennett and there is a considerable difference in the bequests to the two grandsons mentioned, with William Bennett receiving the larger bequest. there is no mention in the Swaim bible of any daughter who had married a Bennett.
