GENERATION NO. 1

       1. John Thomas Robb was born 10 Aug 1769 in Atlantic Ocean on board his father's ship from Ire. He was the son of 2. Capt. James Robb and 3. Margaret Barr. John died 24 Jun 1818 in Robb Towmship, Posey County, Indiana, at the age of 48. He married Lydia Waller 20 Apr 1795 in Washington, County, Kentucky. She was born 21 Feb 1777 in Virginia. She was the daughter of John Waller and Mary Small. Lydia died 13 Feb 1866 in Stewartsville, Indiana, at the age of 89.
       Known children of John Thomas Robb and Lydia Waller are:
              m       i.              James Robb, born 14 Mar 1796. He married Bethena Mills. They had 4 children. Bethena was born 26 Aug 1802.
              m       ii.              Eli Robb, born 17 Aug 1797. He married Nancy Lousia Davis 1816. They had 2 children. Nancy was born 1800.
                                   Eli died 30 Nov 1829, at the age of 32.
              m       iii.              David Robb, born 22 May 1799. He married Elizabeth Simpson. They had 7 children.
                                   David died 8 Apr 1888, at the age of 88.
              m       iv.              Matthew Robb, born 15 Jul 1801 His spouse has not been identified. married. They had 3 children.
                                   Matthew died 24 Feb 1870, at the age of 68.
              m       v.              William Small Robb, born 8 Aug 1803/1808. He married Lavinia Louisa Britton. They had 5 children. Lavinia was born 25 Oct 1808. She was the daughter of William Britton and Ann Stuart. Lavinia died 13 Apr 1886, at the age of 77.
                                   William died 15 Aug 1877, at the age of 74.
              m       vi.              Felix Robb, born 2 Dec 1805 in Indiana His spouse has not been identified. married. They had 2 children.
                                   Felix died 15 Jul 1868, at the age of 62.
              f       vii.              Eliza Robb, born 5 Sep 1807. She married Mr. Cox. They had 4 children.
                                   Eliza died 10 Jan 1885, at the age of 77.
              m       viii.              Aaron Robb, born 8 May 1809 His spouse has not been identified. married. They had 5 children.
                                   Aaron died Apr 1860, at the age of 50.
              m       ix.              Thomas Robb, born 14 Dec 1810 in Stewartsville, Indiana. He married Minerva Jane Taylor 21 Mar 1834. They had 7 children. Minerva was born 17 Sep 1816 in Kentucky. She was the daughter of James Taylor and Susan James. Minerva died 7 Jan 1901 in Stewartsville, Indiana, at the age of 84.
                                   Thomas died 20 Oct 1883 in Stewartsville, Indiana, at the age of 72.
              m       x.              Peyton Washington Robb, born 12 Apr 1812. He married Susan Finch. They had 2 children.
                                   Peyton died 12 Jun 1868, at the age of 56.
              f       xi.              Polly Ann Robb, born 28 Sep 1814, died 1854, at the age of 39.
              m       xii.              John Waller Robb, born 23 Oct 1816. He married Polly Montgomery. They had 11 children.
                                   John died 11 Apr 1894, at the age of 77.
              f       xiii.              Lydia Robb, born 1819, died in infancy 1819.

       BIBLE STATES DIED FEB 13, 1866, GRAVE STONE STATES 3 FEB. 186       BROUGHT TO KY. BY HER PARENTS WHEN SEVEN YEARS OLD. WAS A WIDOW 48 YRS.

       LIVED IN JEFFERSON CO. KY.FROM 1786 TO 1804 WHEN HE CAME TO INDIANA TO THAT PART OF GIBSON CO. WHICH IS NOW ROBB TOWNSHIP, POSEY CO. SO NAMED IN HIS HONOR. THE DEEDS ARE SIGNED IN 1808 BY THOMAS JEFFERSON PRES. AND JAMES MADISON, SEC'Y OF STATE OF THE U.S.. HE ESTABLISHED A LARGE MERCANTILE BUSINESS WHICH CARRIED ON BY HIS WIFE AND SONS AFTER HIS VIOLENT DEATH BY BEING DRAGGED BY HIS HORSE ON 24 JUNE 1818.        ______________________________________________

       2. Capt. James Robb was born about 1747 in Newtonardo, co. Down, Ireland. He was the son of 4. John Robb. Capt. James died 1825 in Jefferson County, Kentucky. He married 3. Margaret Barr 1764 in Ireland.

       3. Margaret Barr was born 1750 in Ireland. She was the daughter of 6. David Barr and 7. Eleanor [———?———] . Margaret died 1807 in near Princeton, Indiana, at the age of 57.
       Known children of Capt. James Robb and Margaret Barr are:

                                   Henry married (2) Maria Pearson. Maria also married (1) ________ Montgomery.
                                   Henry died 1861 in Jefferson County, Kentucky, at the age of 83.
              m       vii.              Hugh Robb, born 1781. He married Elizabeth Waller. She was born 21 Jul 1786. She was the daughter of John Waller and Mary Small.
                                   Hugh died 1845 in Union County, Kentucky, at the age of 64.
              f       viii.              Eleanor Robb, born 1784. She married John Waller, Jr.. He was born 21 Dec 1778. He was the son of John Waller and Mary Small. Notes for John:
                                          CAME TO IND AND BOUGHT LAND IN POSEY CO. BY THE SIDE OF THEIR BROTHER AND SISTER JOHN THOMAS AND LYDIA.
                                   Eleanor died 1859, at the age of 75.

       HE DIED IN THE HOME OF HIS SON HENRY.
       ARRESTED IN IRELAND FOR HAVING SASSAFRAS TEA ABOARD HIS SHIP. ESCAPED BY AID OF FRIENDS IN 1773 AND WITH HIS WIFE, MARGARET, SONS JOHN THOMAS, AND JAMES CAME TO AMERICA. A SON, DAVID, WAS KEPT IN IRELAND BY HIS GRANDFATHER BARR AND DID NOT ARRIVE IN AMERICA UNTILL SEVERAL YEARS LATER. THE FAMILY LIVED IN PENN. PRINCIPALLY IN YORK CO. ON THE MARYLAND BORDER UNTILL 1786. JAMES SERVED IN THE REVOLUTION.
       JAMES ENLISTED AS PRIVITE IN 1ST BATTALION OF YORK CO. COMMANDED BY JAMES SMITH. HE SERVED IN THE COMPANY COMMANDED BY CHARLES LUKENS IN 1776. IN 1783 HE WAS A MEMBER OF CAPT. MICHALE HAHN'S COMPANY OF YORK.
       JAMES GRANTED POWER OF ATTY. BY JOS. FOX OF PHILADELPHIA TO RECEIVE MONEY ON A MORTGAGE IN THE TOWN OF YORK 1779. HIS WIFE MARGARET IS MENTIONED.
       IN 1786 JAMES AND HIS WIFE MARGARET SOLD A LOT AND HOUSE IN YORK FOR L100.       AFTER THIS SALE THEY MOVED WITH THEIR SIX SONS AND ONE DAUGHTER TO MARRS LICH, JEFFERSON CO. KY. 12 MILES FROM LOUISVILLE WHERE THEY LIVED UNTILL 1804. AT THAT TIME THEY WENT TO GIBSON CO. IND. WHERE JAMES ESTABLISHED A MILL AND FARMSTEAD, MUCH LUMBER FOR THE EARLY SETTLERS AMONG WHOM WERE THE RAPPITES AT NEW HARMONY, IND.. SOMETIME AFTER 1815 HE RETURNED TO KY. WHERE HE DIED IN 1825.        ______________________________________________
