Robards Reunion, weekend of Aug. 2, 2008, Harrodsburg, KY. Descendents of William Robards Sr. of Goochland County, VA, 1729-1783
His children and their spouses were: John (Sarah Marshall); William Jr. (Elizabeth Cocke & Elizabeth Lewis Cox); James (Mary Massie); Jean/Jane (Samuel Mosby); Lewis (Hannah Winn); George (Elizabeth Sampson): Jessie (Frances Perkins); Sallie (Jack Jouett); Joseph (Nancy Harris); Elizabeth (William Buckner, Jr.); Robert (never married). Anyone who is a descendent of any of these family lines is invited to attend.
William’s second wife, Elizabeth (Lewis) Robards, moved with her family from Goochland County, Va, to Mercer County, KY, in 1784, as provided in William Sr.’s will. The reunion will be held at ‘Glenworth’, which has long been associated with the Robards family. (If you want to find out about Glenworth, you will have to contact me!)
This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! I need to start getting an idea about how many people would be interested in attending. If you are one of those people, please contact me at frichtlj@charter.net. I would love to hear from ALL the descendents! And, would love to meet you in Harrodsburg, Ky, in August!
