OK, I give up! Between this forum and peoples' net sites I am confused.
I have a Comfort Poe born 1822 in KY. married to William Caroll Roark born 1820 in TN.
Her father and mother: William Poe and Sarah Roark of NC
I also found a site that has Comfort Poe born 1822. Her father and mother: William Poe and Delana Austin.
Then I have Comfort Poe born 1826 her father Johnson Poe.
To top it off there is a site with two William Roarks and photos!
My grandmother was Bernice Roark born 1901 in AR., her father was Frank Roark born 1880 in Nevada MO., his father was Joseph Roark born 1828 in Barren County, KY.
These Poes and Roarks are kin, I just can not seem to line them up right.
Is there anyone on this forum that knows my family and can help straighten me out. Thanks.
ps> also trying to figure out Walter Asa Roark and Susan Tudor family. He was born 1792 in NC. She was born 1782.
They had a son named Hiram born 1818 and 9 other children. Looking for descendents and ancestors. Hiram had a granddaughter Anne Wade Roark married to a governor of AR.
