David, you asked the same question on December 29, 2005. I replied on January 20, 2006, using a sort of common-sense approach (rather than proof or direct evidence), to show that (1) the Michael ROARK (b abt 1825) who married Louisa THRESHER/THRASHER in Tennessee is in all likelihood the son of John ROARK and Margaret "Peggy" BLAIR; and (2) the Michael ROARK (b abt 1799) who married Susannah HALL in Missouri is the son of James ROARK and Nancy FINNEY.

You didn't respond to my Jan. 2006 posting, so I don't know whether you thought it was unpersuasive or whether you didn't receive a notice from the GenForum that I had replied. If it is the former, please explain in what way it doesn't agree with your research; if it is the latter, please see message #1931.

In your original (2005) posting, you said that you "have some 'weak' documents that Michael's dad is James (b1767-VA) married to Nancy Finney." Could you describe what you have?
