Did you provide herein most of what's important on Roan that's found in this journal or is this just a taste?
Thank you may be very valuable because Roan's most famous student, Rev. William Graham is one of my ancestors and central to unlocking many historical questions since so much was written about him. Much of it, specious. Graham, a friend of Patrick Henry was a leader in the movement to oppose ratification of the proposed U.S. Constitution because it did not have a BILL OF RIGHTS. He owed much to Rev. Roan and Roan was often dependent on Graham because Roan was a lousy farmer but needed to augment his living by farming. Graham was very adept in those ways and often saved Roan's bacon, so to speak, by doing thngs for him on his farm that he could not do. Roan presided at several of Graham's siblings marriages and possibly even
Grham's but that is pure speculation. Graham married Mary Kerr of Carlisle circa 1772-3.
