Your John Roane is the grandfather of the John Roane I am seeking to locate.

I am one of a small group searching for the graves of the VMI New Market cadets. John Roane was one of this famous corps. This is what VMI has on him:

"John Roane, Class of 1867: New Market Cadet; Private, Co. B. Genealogy: Born- January 8, 1849, at "Uppowac" in King William County, Virginia. Father- James Roane; Mother- Mary C. Waring. Pat. Grandfather- John Roane of Congress and the Constitutional Convention; Pat. Grandmother- Elizabeth Brockenbrough. Mat. Grandfather- Horace Waring; Mat. Grandmother- Isabella Roane. Never married, no children. Career: Medical Student in Richmond-Died at young age. Died- June 1867."

Might you have any idea where he might be buried or where his parents or grandfather are buried?
