Recently I have become interested in documenting my husband's (Robert Roane) family history. Anna Jane Knaggs was the mother of my husband's great grandfather, William Robert Roane (b. Feb. 17, 1867). William Robert married Mary Elizabeth Blackburn and they had several children including William Robert Roane, II. He was a medical doctor and surgeon. He married Madeleine Hallenbeck and they had two children. Their son, William Robert Roane III, was my husband's father. He recently died of cancer

Sexton Crey and Anna Jane Knaggs had a daughter born around 1864. Her name was "Lizzie." The story goes that she died at an early age. We have a piece of "mourning jewelry" made from her dark hair.

Please let me know what information you are looking for regarding this branch of the family. I will be glad to help you if I can.
