I just this weekend attended a Roan Family Reunion. I picked up a family history book compiled by a deceased member of a Roan clan. I have not sorted all the information out at this time, but in this typed book, there is information of Spencer Roan, son of Col. William Roan and Betty Ball Roan and grandson of William and Sarah Roan. Spencer was member of House of Delegates, Judge of the General Court and of the Supreme Court of Virginia. Married Anne Henry, daughter of Patrick Henry. Also, there is a John Roan mentioned, son of William & Sarah. Does any of this ring a bell with you? As I sort this out maybe I will piece together more information. Have a lot more names & dates for Roans. Let me hear via e-mail to (bjneef@vzinet.com).
