Further research suggests that John Roane's wife (named "Elizabeth F.") probably was not Elizabeth Fraizer but instead probably was Elizabeth Fauntleroy Brockenbrough, the daughter of Newman Brockenbrough and Lucy Daingerfield.

Samuel Roane may have been named for the Samuel Roane (d. 1807), son of Thomas Roane and Mary Ann Hipkins; 1807 was the same year my Samuel Roane (1807 - 1842) was born.

My Lucy Daingerfield Roane, daughter of Samuel Roane (1807 - 1842) would then have been named for her grandmother, which also makes sense.
