Hi! Tis me who is of Ruane ancestory :)

I saw this site for variations of Roane/Rohan/RUANE

ROHAN v. of RUANE- Irish anglicized form of Gaelic ó Ruadhán-Descendant of Ruadhán: a personal name from a dim. "ruadh" red.Variations: O' Ruane, O' Rowane, (O') Roan, Ro(u)ane, Rowan, Rohan, Rouan, Raun, Roon. This information is from: Hanks, P. & Hodges, F. (1988). Dictionary of surnames. Oxford, N.Y.: Oxford University Press.
Other variations include: Ua Ruadhain, Ua Ruadhachain, Ua Robhachain; the first of which means "descendant," (literally, grandson) of Ruadhan, i.e., "the Red".
