Little evidence exists for either side. (Robert Burchfiel's wife was Sally Young, by the way.) Keep in mind that Joseph Burchfiel was born five years before Sally Roan and Meshack Burchfield married. He could just be an illegitimate child, but I don't know if that's feasible. Notify Administrator about this message?
