Ripleydoodle....You are welcome. Sounds like you are doing all the right things to verify information.

Who knows WHY the 1900 census enumerator listed Rollow J. Roach as a "boarder"...!! Makes me crazy when I find things like that. I looked at the 1920 Michigan census you mentioned and I couldn't make out the names of the children with Frank either. Yes, VERY poor quality. Perhaps this is your Fannie Roach, since she died before the 1920 census. Just enter the surname ROACH and scroll down to the one listed as FANNIE LEE ROACH. Seems like a very good possibility.
