Ohio, mother b. Michigan, carpenter ------------------------- Go to www.familysearch.org and enter the name Rolla J. Roach, the year 1876 and Michigan and look at the parents. Also, enter the name Frank F. Roach, the year 1868 and Michigan. Both entries list the father as Samuel P. Roach, the one you thought it probably was. I looked at the 1870 Michigan census you mentioned and the mother's name looks like Hame E. to me, too, but Ancestry.com thinks it is Mame E. I looked high and low, but couldn't find any of the Samuel P. Roach family on the 1880 census. ------------------------- Do you know when and where your great-grandfather Frank Roach died? If so, perhaps his obituary would help you verify his parents? ------------------------- Good luck with your research....Pauline Notify Administrator about this message?
