Very disconcerting isn't it that there can be so many spelling variations. The Australian Settlers line of Rixons can be traced back to 1621 and as on p9 "The name had undergone many changes in spelling over the years but it is always a reflection of the spoken version"
It varies from a father given as Wrigson to his children being Rigson, Rixon, Rigson, Rigson and Rixon. The next generation has Rixon for 5 children and then Rickson!!!
Work that out.
Thanks for your offer - my line is James Rixon [Hickson etc]who had children with Amelia Goodwin in Australia from 1802 onwards.
