My great-grandfather, Carmine Riviello, came from Felitto, Italy in 1903 along with his wife Maria Pagnotti. What puzzles me is there is 2 towns in Italy, one called Ravello and another called Rivello. Your question around surname has me interested since I believe our name derived in some way from theses towns. Any thoughts? I wonder where the second "i" came from?
