I am researching my 6g-grandmother, Perrine Rivette. We have found her maiden name with several variations: Rivette, Ruett, Rivuett (with two little dots over the "u").

Perrine was married to Guillaume Huet and the first record we have of her is on the January 1, 1721 census of Isle Dauphine (Dauphin Island, Mobile AL).

Guillaume Huet is listed on that census with wife and four children. We know that he was a shareholder in the Company of the Indies at that time.

Perrine died on 28 Nov 1767 in Mobile, Alabama and was buried in the parish cemetery of the Cathedral of Immaculate Conception in Mobile. We have no idea of her age.

Guillaume and Perrine had settled on approximately 1,300 acres of land at Oyster Point (present day Coden, Alabama) by 1726. Guillaume appears to have been quite active in the slave trading business (Company of the Indies) and cattle trading, and their homeplace was a large, active plantation which Perrine continued to manage after her husband's death.

Their son, Jean Baptiste Huet, died in New Orleans in Sep 1743 -- we believe he was actively involved in his father's plantation business and frequently moved between Mobile and New Orleans.

Records of the Superior Council show Perrine a widow at the time of her son's death, although no record has been found of Guillaume's death.

I'm hoping someone can help us identify her family. Thank you.
