ETHEL HARDY who married ROBERT PAISLEY RIVES is my mother's favorite aunt. Unfortunately, both ETHEL and ROBERT have now passed away and my mother is in her eighty-eighth year. I knew and remember fondly both ETHEL and ROBERT. They owned a home in Collirene, Alabama, and had horses that were available for me to ride when I was small. Their sons, ROBERT, JR. and JACK, and their daughter ALVINEARL, were most comaptible with members of my family and we spent holidays together. I especially remember the 4th of July holidays when whole hogs and a half a cow was roasted over an open pit there in Collirene. I first went to Collirene when the road up the hill was unpaved and you couldn't go up the hill should it have rained recently as the red clay wouldn't allow for automobile "traffic".
