Karen, we have communicated before on the Rivers line.I am also researching my Williams, Perdue and Anderson lines and came across some information in the library at Wrens.Book was on the Jefferson county cemeteries, and apparently the person who wrote it included information gathered that was not actually on headstones!I have been to this cemetery (Phillips-Anderson) several times and never knew this:
"Mary Ann Rivers Perdue b. 1835 d/o Thomas Jefferson Rivers and Nancy McGahee, died before the 1900 census.Indications that she is buried by her daughter Frances Louisa Perdue Connell.Separated from husband William C. Perdue"
Another daughter was my greatgrandmother, Susannah Wylanta Perdue Anderson
this book had all sorts of notations, sometimes notes on who conducted funerals, etc.don't know how accurate any of it is, the source of the information is not given, but it sounded like someone who just knew, from living in the community.and maybe had taken the time to ask people what they knew about the community.
i also went by our gggg? grandfather's grave, Abraham Beasley on that day.found the location of the cemetery described in the front of a census book.
