My Paternal Great-Great-Grandfather was Jacques/Jocko/John Thouvelin LaRiviere, born in 1804
in Yamaska County, Quebec. He had a brother, Jean Baptiste,
born Dec. 26, 1808 in Yamaska County. He married a Rose
Couturier-Verville on 2-14-1832. He passed away on 3-39-1869.
Jocko, my Great Great Grandfather, emigrated to
Vermont in the 1840s. He was a farmer and lived in Enosburg,
Franklin County, then in Lowell, Orleans County, and finally
in Morristown, Lamoille County.

It is possible that Jocko's brother had a son that
moved to Vermont.

I have more information on Jocko's family, back to
to the early 1700s in Lorraine, France. Let me know
if you would like me to email it to you.

Does any of the above help?
Did you try the Mormon database: to
search records in Vermont? It has data from U.S. and
Vermont state census records dating back into 1850 that
could help you work back in time.
