Hello, my family is from Durango (Las Palmas Santiago Papasquiaro) my grandfather is Juan Manuel Rivas, his brother Filimon Rivas...its not a common name and for them to be from the same area they have to be related...also my mother and all of her brothers moved to Chicago when first arriving to the US. Check with your fam and see if there is a link.
