HiJose,
My great grandfather and great, great grandfather were born in San Luis Potosi, and my grandpa was born in aguas calientes...Jose maria Rivas,Juan Rivas and PedroRivas.
Pedro was born in 1905.
I have been going crazy with this research stuff...are we bausque or are we sephardim? I am so confused!!
Iknow that Riva,Rizas,Ribas is still Rivas....the first Riva cametothe new world 1628 from the bausque region of spain....the crypto-Jews started arriving in the late 1600 I think? We even couldbe Visigothic! Crazy!!!!
There was an Antontio Rivas who was given a land Grant in southern maverick county....which was all of San Antonio and piedras Negras....lookit up....
anywayI dont know if my grandparents had brothers orsisters....just my grandpa...he hadfour kids and three brothers that ran away to fight the mexican revolution....
maybe you can help me figure out this ???
best,
Anita Rivas
