I need assistance (direction?) with the family of Joseph and Marie-Louise (Rhelle) Revard. This Joseph Revard is reportedly the son of Joseph Revard who was murdered by Cherokee Indians in 1821. Joseph Revard (1799-1846) and his business partner, Francois Chouteau, established a fur trading outpost at the confluence of the Kaw (Kansas) and Missouri Rivers as early as 1820, site later named "Westport", now fully surrounded by Kansas City, Jackson Co, MO. Undocumented GEDCOM files report that there were at least six children born to Joseph and Marie-Louise (Rhelle) Revard ... 1. Paul Revard 2. Genevieve "Jane" Revard 3. Joseph E. Revard 4. Ursule Revard 5. Louis Edward Revard 6. Marie Ann-Louise Revard If you're familiar with this Revard family, or the family of business partner Francois Chouteau, let's share notes and resources for all to read on this open Rivard forum.
