Follow up to More Ritter family history.
From Mary Ritter Holtby-George Ritter(her grandfather) born-----Died 1837.He married Susan Hittle.She came from Pennsylvania in 1980.
Their Children:
Daniel,John,Peter,William,Ann,Sarah,Barbara.
From Burg Cemetery-Fayette Seneca County New York.(Susan.wife of Michael Ritter,Died May 18,1869-age 74 years.)Next to her grave,A stone just marked "John Ritter"
1850 Census-Town of Fayette N.Y.--Susan Ritter age 55 born in Pa.,Barbara Ritter,age 11 born in N.Y.,Daniel,age 7 born in N.Y.
Can George Ritter and Michael Ritter be the same person??I don't think so.I think there is a George Michael and a Michael!!!!! Ritter
The children it seems,belong to George Michael.
Salisbury Township:
Among the first settlers of Salisbury township were:Frantz Ritter....Michael Hittle..

Martin Ritter came to Pa. in 1732 and soon after his arrival,secured a patent for a tract in Salisbury Township west of the present Village of Waldheim.He was the farher of the following seven children:
Martin,Henry,John,Daniel,Michael,Jacob and Gretchen(Mrs Solomon Klein).
