Hi Sharia,
I was beginning to wonder if anyone would ever reply to my post!I got most of the information about the Ritter side of the family from my mothers cousin, Geneva Bishop, who lives near Mooresville, MS.She told me that Jane Ritter's name was Manera Jane. She was Geneva's ggrandmother. She told me that Jane's father was John McBride Ritter.Francis Marion (Frank) was married 3 times.Frank had son Lorenzo by his first wife Rachel Franks and Sarah Elizabeth was first married to John McBride Ritter and had Manera Jane. Then after their children were grown and married...Frank and Sarah married. How are you related to Manera Jane? She was my gggrandmother. Her daughter Sarah was my great grandmother. Most of my family still live on the same road that Frank, Judah, lorenzo and the others lived. Most of my family live within walking distance of Shiloh cemetery and Spring Hill cemetery. Do you have a website listing your family?Or possibly have a gedcom?I have found a Ritter Newsletter on the internet that lists John McBride, Everett and his brothers.I will look up the web page address and send it to you as soon as I can.I would love to hear from you again. My family live in Mississippi but I live in Indiana. One more interesting thing that happened...When I was in Mississippi on vacation, me and my cousin went to Shiloh cemetery and we were looking at Sarah's tombstone. When we walked away we saw a man and woman walk up to Sarah's grave.I was curious, so I went up to the woman and asked if she knew the woman buried there. She said yes, that it was her ggrandmother.I said well she is my gggrandmother. That is how I met Geneva. Please keep in touch.
